Over 35 years ago, a number of Swap Meet owners throughout California came together in an effort to organize and educate our elected officials and the public about the industry. As a result, the California Swap Meet Association (CSMA) was formed in 1973. CSMA improved the image of the Swap Meet industry throughout the State and has worked diligently to:
- Standardize the regulations imposed upon Swap Meets and Flea Markets
- Help develop the current legislation under which all Swap Meet and Flea Markets are governed
- Work with numerous government entities, regulatory agencies, and elected officials as a conduit to communicate directly with our industry
Established in 1984 with offices in Sacramento and Washington D.C.
